About Robert Mogielnicki:
Dr. Mogielnicki is a political economist focusing on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He specializes in the political and economic trajectories of Gulf Arab states, China-MENA relations, and regional technology trends. His current professional affiliations span top-tier research institutes, academic institutions, NGOs, and consultancies. Dr. Mogielnicki is the author of A Political Economy of Free Zones in Gulf Arab States(Palgrave Macmillan 2021), and he is currently working on an edited volume about the political economy of sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East and Asia. He is a Term Member with the Council on Foreign Relations and a recipient of the Middle East Policy Council’s 40 Under 40 Award. He holds a DPhil from Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
He combines deep knowledge of the political economy of the Middle East region with strategic communications skills. An Arabic speaker who has worked across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, he excels at leveraging regional knowledge and policy analysis expertise to accomplish clear business outcomes.
