About James Barrese

Barrese is a technologist with more than 25 years of experience spanning the military, the academic world, business consulting, and enterprise platforms and infrastructure.

He currently serves as SVP Fintech at Intuit, and previously served in executive technology roles as CTO at Chime, and PayPal, where he was Global CTO, and at eBay, where wasVP of Technology. Earlier in his career, he was VP of engineering at Charitableway, a manager at Andersen Consulting, and programmer in the Materials Science Department at Stanford University. He got his start in technology with the Signal Corps in the U.S. Army.
He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
