Arun ‘Rak’ Ramchandran is the Global Head of the Hi-Tech, Platforms & Professional Services (HTPS) Vertical Business Unit, and is also the Global Market Leader for the Digital Core Transformation (DCT) Service Line at Hexaware. As the Vertical BU Leader of one of the fastest growing industry segments in Hexaware, he has end to end P&L responsibility for the unit, and works directly with Hexaware’s Hi-Tech & Professional Services clients globally, expanding on existing relationships and nurturing new ones, delivering end-to-end services & solutions to enable innovation and agility, while continuing to provide efficiencies and savings. He has repositioned Hexaware as a Strategic Transformation Partner in one of its largest clients, and expanded into new sub-verticals to drive broad-based growth.

As the Market Leader for DCT Service Line, Rak is playing the role of the Chief Digital Evangelist, helping clients across all verticals digitally leapfrog – transform at warp speed. The DCT Service Line delivers Enterprise Transformation, Platform Engineering & Agility with solutions focused on Architecture, API ecosystem, Integration, Cloud Native development, Portfolio & Data Modernization.

Rak is also the Chief Mentor for the Hexaware Future Leaders & Executives (HFLX) program, focused on hiring, training & mentoring management trainees from MBA schools around the world towards future leadership roles at Hexaware.

Rak joined Hexaware in 2017 from Capgemini, where he spent close to six years, initially as a member of their Applications Services’ Executive Board, being instrumental in creating and leading their Strategic Large Deals team globally and closely involved in several of their large, marquee Managed Services wins, and then as Head of Sales and Client Relations in North America for their Technology & Engineering Services Unit, Sogeti. During his stint, Capgemini became a leader in Applications Outsourcing and repositioned itself as a Transformational Technology Services Provider in NA.

Prior to Capgemini, Rak had spent more than a decade at Infosys in various roles, ultimately leading their Global Life Sciences Unit. Under his leadership, the unit grew three-fold in three years. He was also closely associated with Client Relations, Global Sourcing deals and Business Development efforts in various other key roles. In addition to all these accomplishments, Rak’s career spans stints at Virtusa (during its pre-IPO phase), Nokia Mobile Phones and Asian Paints, across US and India.

Rak lives in the heart of Silicon Valley, CA, with his wife, and two college-going boys. He holds a B.Tech engineering degree from IIT, Mumbai, and an MBA from IIM, Calcutta. He is a strategy expert and thought-leader in the fields of Trust, Technology, Transformation & Turnarounds. He has always been curious about Innovation and Emerging Technologies, and is passionate about how they can be harnessed for a better future for individuals and organizations alike.
